Scott Love has over 18 years experience in engineering of onshore & offshore wind

Formerly Head of Engineering at Red Rock Power

Led the engineering team for the UK CFD AR3 bid for Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm. Oversight of all technical assumptions into the various work packages and closely involved in the internal investment case, bank case, engineering assumptions book and CAPEX, OPEX and EYA inputs to the financial model

Adept at Engineering Manager, Lender’s and Owner’s Engineer roles, co-ordinating resources and engaging with a myriad of stakeholders

Matt Jenner

Matt Jenner

Matt leads the development of innovative software systems that support the modelling, deployment and operation of complex energy infrastructure.

Working at the boundary between human expertise and digital delivery, Matt translates complex technical requirements, user needs, and research-informed outcomes into robust, usable software products.

He has previously founded and led SaaS platforms from early prototypes through to enterprise-level production, combining hands-on technical understanding with structured product and decision-making methodologies.

Max Krause

Max Krause

Max supports the development of Velosco’s modelling capabilities including CAPEX, OPEX and yield assessment.

He recently graduated with a MSc in renewable energy and decarbonisation technologies from Strathclyde university. His thesis focussed on the yield of floating offshore wind turbines and analysed the effects of different floater movements alongside appropriate simulation methods.

Previously, Max worked for 5 years as a software engineer with Microsoft developing telecommunications applications. He also holds a MSc in aerospace engineering.

Yakup Akan

Machine Learning & Optimisation Specialist

Yakup Akan

Yakup leads Velosco’s modelling, dashboard and optimisation capabilities.

He holds a PhD in complex systems and swarm intelligence, Yakup is experienced in theoretical insights into Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) inspired by flocking behaviour in birds.

His research focused on renewable energy sources, Distributed Energy Resources (DERs), and exploring optimisation approaches for small-scale electricity supply and demand.

Yakup also holds a Master’s degree in robotics, specialising in suspension design for a rover.
